Fire Protection Association Australia (FPA Australia) was reappointed to continue to facilitate services for the Fire Protection Industry (ODS & SGG) Board (the Board) through a service agreement with the Australian Government Department of the Environment and Energy until 31 October 2018.

GLOBAL SUCCESS FOR AUSTRALIA LED BY THE DEPARTMENT OF THE ENVIRONMENT AND ENERGY

 

Fire Protection Association Australia (FPA Australia) would like to congratulate the Australian Government on its key role in securing the recent international agreement to reduce hydrofluorocarbon (HFC) emissions by 85 per cent at the Montreal Protocol meeting held in Kigali, Rwanda last week.

FPA AUSTRALIA SECURES FIRE PROTECTION INDUSTRY BOARD TENDER

 

Fire Protection Association Australia (FPA Australia) is pleased to announce it has been successful in the tender process to continue to facilitate services for the Fire Protection Industry (ODS & SGG) Board (the Board) for the next two years through a service agreement with the Australian Government Department of the Environment and Energy.

PUBLIC SERVICE MEDAL FOR PATRICK MCINERNE

 

FPA Australia would like to congratulate Mr Patrick McInerney, Director of international ozone protection and synthetic greenhouse gas policy for Australia's Department of the Environment and Energy. Mr McInerney, who was in the 2016 Queen's birthday honours, received the Federal Public Service Medal for outstanding public service for his role in the protection of the ozone layer and the climate system.

FIRE PROTECTION TECHNICIANS TRANSITION AS PART OF LICENSING MILESTONE

 

The Fire Protection Industry (ODS & SGG) Board (the Board) has successfully transitioned the vast majority of experienced fire protection technicians who handle scheduled extinguishing agents, to an Extinguishing Agent Handling Licence (EAHL) - Qualified Persons (Entitlement 1-5).
