New executives join FPA Australia

Posted on : Tuesday, 22 December 2020

FPA Australia has had two national managers join its ranks in the last few weeks:

Amanda Hogarth  is the new National Manager, Accreditation.

She comes to us from the NBN, where she was the Training Provider Engagement Lead, and before that held senior roles in the Victorian Department of Education and Training and the Norther Territory Department of Business.

Amanda's long-term experience in managing government expectations and dealing with training needs makes her an ideal person to run our accreditation activities.

Since she began in early November, Amanda has thrown herself into the role and is currently focusing on the rollout of the FPAS Qualified Pathway, which will begin in the new year.

Leigh Gesthuizen  is the new National Manager, Technical and Advisory.

He will be well known to members, most recently as General Manager of Pyrpopanel Pty Ltd - ASSA ABLOY Australia.

Starting his career as a building surveyor, Leigh has since gained experience in product manufacturing and passive fire protection, both in Australia and in South-East Asia, contributing to FPA Australia's TAC 18/19 on passive fire protection and actively assisting our Events team with several passive seminars and fire door workshops around Australia.

Leigh has a firm understanding of the technical needs of the fire protection industry, and will bring significant knowledge to the team and the broader fire protection industry.

The Board and staff welcome both Amanda and Leigh to the Association and wishes them luck for their new roles.
