New regulations have been made to amend the National Construction Code in Victoria so that all new multi-storey residential buildings, hotels, healthcare buildings and aged care buildings that are required to install sprinklers designed to AS 2118.1, must extend that sprinkler protection to include all covered balconies, regardless of size.

Data released by the Department of Employment on 8th December 2015 shows that for Enterprise Agreements (986 Agreements) approved by the Fair Work Commission in the September Quarter 2015, the Average Annualised Wage Increase (AAWI) was3.4% - up from the June Quarter 2015 (3.2%) – across All Sectors, whilst thePrivate Sector increased by 0.4 percentage points from 3.1% to3.5% in the same period.
